For questions about Lexidrug access or other issues around Ascension, please open an INC ticket through the AIT Service Desk, then follow these directions:
 
The Service Delivery Manager team is our liaison to the application support teams.  If anyone needs a ticket escalated or they just want someone to follow up on one; have them open an INC and email SDMcoreclinical@ascension.org with the INC# and they can help facilitate the ticket through the process. The Pharmacy Spec Products team (PSP) supports Lexicomp.  
 
The SDM team has someone on call 24/7 to help.

Introducing Lexidrug (formerly Lexicomp)

Ascension's preferred medication reference tool gives you access to accurate, evidence-based drug information right at the site of care.

Use Lexidrug to quickly locate drug information covering the entire patient population including

  • pediatric, adult, and geriatric dosing
  • checking IV compatibility
  • patient education materials
  • and more ...

Why Can't I get to UptoDate through Lexidrug (formerly Lexicomp)?    The short answer: We don't subscribe to UptoDate.

Lexidrug - Patient Education in Other Languages

Lexidrug Clinical Drug Reference (formerly Lexicomp)

In LexiComp, click on the Patient Education Tab [highlighted in yellow above].

Enter keywords to search for the desired patient ed handout.

 

In the left side, you'll see a Language option. 

English is the default.   Click the down arrow to see other languages available.

Not every handout is available in every language.  

You can also choose to print an English-language copy of non-English leaflets, which can be helpful for the caregiver to know what was covered.  

Download the Lexicomp Mobile App

You will need to login to Lexidrug Online from an AW network-connected device to get an access code. 

Select the Lexidrug link from your local Ascension Wisconsin Intranet  or AW Library (or other access point such as EHR, or Library pages) and click the Mobile Access Codes button in the lower right hand column.   Follow the on-screen instructions.  

Once installed, the Lexidrug Mobile app :

  • Has an unlimited number of users for Ascension acute care hospital associates
  • Does not require Internet access
  • Can be used whenever and wherever needed
